Exercise is essential to being the best possible version of ourselves. I believe our health is measured by the amount of things we can say yes to. Whether we want to be a phenomenal athlete, huge and crazy strong, or just free of pain, exercise is the key.

My Story

My affinity for fitness started at a young age. I was a small kid. Fast and agile, but small. I was easily pushed around by my older brothers and constantly losing games we played. I wanted to compete with them and I wanted to be the best.

Until I turned 13, I wasn’t allowed to use the weight room. Instead, I started by doing push-ups and sit-ups every day.

Finally, I was allowed into the gym. It made me a better athlete, and I was all about that. I played baseball growing up and all through college, while also skateboarding, snowboarding and rock climbing along the way. After a decade full of broken wrists, broken ribs, a broken collar bone, torn ligaments and tendons, and far too many concussions, my body was hurting.

Being an athlete was part of my identity and I was losing that part of myself.

Pain was a constant and frustrated with the lack of results from physical therapy and even surgery, I decided it was time to take training back into my own hands. By studying relentlessly and making the gym a second home, fitness became my world. I have been repairing injuries and improving my body ever since.

Deciding to control the direction of my life has shaped who I am as a trainer and how I approach training. I have a strong passion for developing the body and helping people dealing with injuries understand the why behind their pain. If you can understand the why behind pain, you can begin to fix it.
